I myself sponsored a child in the SOS-Children’s-Village in Bangpoo, Thailand, the organization’s first program in the country. It was deeply satisfying to receive the annual letter of appreciation.
The twelve SOS families have been providing loving homes for children in need since 1974. Bangkok is the largest city of Thailand. Many children from poor families live and work in the city’s streets to help raise the family income. They come from the rural parts of the country or from neighboring countries like Cambodia in search of a better life – many of them even without their families. More about Bangpoo Village.
